The Protos Software GmbH has just recently joined the Eclipse Foundation as a Solution Member
The Munich, Germany based Protos Software GmbH is a service company that specialized in the development of model-driven, domain-specific tools and applications for Embedded Systems.
We develop tools and applications for our customers and support them with training, consulting and coaching. Most of our projects are based on Eclipse Open Source Tools.
We have been creating tools and applications for the domains of automation, automotive, telecommunication and medical since 1996.
Protos recently started the eTrice Project which is in the Incubation Phase at the moment. The eTrice project will strive to deliver state of the art tooling and target middleware for the model driven development of industry quality event driven real-time software. Emphasis will be laid on the usablity of tooling, produced code and middleware in real industry projects. The initial contribution will be made most likely in November.

Welcome University of Genova - DIST to the Eclipse Foundation
The University of Genova, Italy has just recently joined the Eclipse Foundation as an Associate Member.
For many years has the university's department of Computer, Communication and Systems Science (DIST) in Genova invested in Eclipse related technology and has helped to create a vivid research community in Italy.
Main research interests of the department with its 75 researchers and about 100 PhD students include the e-learning, robotics and automation, artificial intelligence and peer-to-peer technologies.
In many areas of this work the Eclipse platform serves as educational tool as well as supporting the researchers.
We appreciate the membership of the University of Genova and look forward to many joint activities.
